About the role

Experienced software engineering coach for students and professionals, focusing on core software engineering skills, AI-driven engineering, and career development support. Remote contract role with flexible hours and rates.

Responsibilities

  • Teach core skills in architecture and frontend frameworks
  • Design and apply AI-driven engineering work (AI system design, AI code review, model development, LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering)
  • Apply AI agents and AI automation to everyday development
  • Help students build capabilities through practical skill building
  • Support career development activities (resume review, cover letters, LinkedIn review, behavioral and technical interview prep, salary negotiation, promotion strategy, networking)
  • Set own hours and rates
  • Host sessions virtually
  • Partner with the team to deliver a high-quality, supportive experience for every student

Qualifications

  • Professional experience in software engineering
  • Prior coaching or mentoring experience
  • Clear, structured approach to breaking down complex technical concepts
