About the role

Experienced trades professional engaged as a remote contract coach to teach core skills in system installation, maintenance and repair, troubleshooting, tool and equipment operation, code compliance, safety standards, and certifications. Guides students and professionals in project management, customer service, business operations, marketing for trades, resume/LinkedIn review, interview prep, salary negotiation, and networking to help land roles. Coaches set own hours and rates, host sessions virtually, and collaborate with the team to deliver a high-quality experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach core skills in system installation, maintenance and repair, troubleshooting, and tool and equipment operation
  • Incorporate code compliance, regulatory and safety standards, and technical certifications needed to practice
  • Support project management, customer service, and skill-building for trades professionals
  • Provide guidance on business operations and marketing for those running their own trade business and freelancing
  • Assist with resume review, LinkedIn review, interview prep, salary negotiation, and networking strategy to help students land the right role
  • Set own hours and rates; host sessions virtually; collaborate with the team to deliver a high-quality, supportive experience for every student

Qualifications

  • Professional experience in a skilled trade
  • Prior coaching or mentoring experience
  • Clear, structured approach to breaking down technical and business concepts
