About the role

Experienced GED tutor needed to work with students preparing for the GED across Reasoning Through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science, and Social Studies. Responsibilities include assessing starting point, creating tailored study plans, teaching core concepts and test prep strategies, and helping students improve accuracy, pacing, and confidence leading up to test day. Remote contract role with flexible hours.

Responsibilities

  • Assess each student's starting point for GED prep
  • Create tailored study plans
  • Teach core concepts and test prep strategies for GED subjects
  • Help students build accuracy, pacing, and confidence leading up to test day
  • Host sessions virtually
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver a high-quality, supportive experience for every student

Qualifications

  • Strong GED score
  • Prior tutoring or teaching experience
  • Clear, structured approach to breaking down complex problems
