About the role

Experienced scholarships and fellowships coach to guide students applying to prestigious awards (e.g., Rhodes, Fulbright, Marshall). Responsibilities include application strategy, essay and personal statement editing, coordinating letters of recommendation, framing research/experience compellingly, resume review, interview prep, waitlist strategy, and navigating financial aid and scholarships. Flexible, remote contract role with self-set hours and rates.

Responsibilities

  • Guide students through application strategy for prestigious scholarships and fellowships (Rhodes, Fulbright, Marshall, etc.).
  • Edit essays and personal statements.
  • Coordinate letters of recommendation.
  • Help students frame research and experience compellingly.
  • Resume review.
  • Interview preparation.
  • Waitlist strategy guidance.
  • Navigate financial aid and scholarships more broadly to fund education.
  • Host sessions virtually and set own hours and rates.

Qualifications

  • Firsthand experience with prestigious scholarship or fellowship applications.
  • Prior advising or coaching experience.
  • Clear, structured approach to helping students present strongest possible application.
