About the role

Experienced photography coach to teach core photography techniques, lighting, studio setup, and photo editing, with guidance across portrait, landscape, event, commercial, product, and photojournalism. Help students build portfolios, brand, social presence, and navigate freelancing, plus resume, cover letters, LinkedIn, interview prep, salary negotiation, and networking strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Teach core photography techniques, lighting techniques, studio setup, and photo editing.
  • Provide guidance across specialties: portrait, landscape, event, commercial, product, and photojournalism.
  • Help students build a strong portfolio and personal brand; grow their presence through social media for photographers.
  • Support students’ business goals through freelancing and skill building.
  • Provide resume review, cover letters, LinkedIn review, interview prep, and salary negotiation.
  • Offer networking strategy to help students build industry connections.
  • Set own hours and rates; host sessions virtually; collaborate with team to deliver high-quality, supportive experience.

Qualifications

  • Professional photography experience
  • Prior teaching or coaching experience
  • Clear, structured approach to helping students grow craft and career
