About the role

Experienced retail and merchandising coach responsible for teaching core retail concepts, applying analytics, and supporting students and professionals in building careers in retail. Remote contract role with flexible hours and rates.

Responsibilities

  • Teach core skills in retail strategy, merchandising strategy, product assortment planning, visual merchandising, and pricing strategy
  • Cover inventory management, sales forecasting, supply chain management, and store operations
  • Apply retail analytics, retail marketing, customer experience optimization, e-commerce integration, and AI fundamentals and automation to modern retail work
  • Support career development activities: resume review, cover letters, LinkedIn review, interview prep, salary negotiation, networking strategy, and freelancing for independent work
  • Set own hours and rates; host sessions virtually; collaborate with team to deliver high-quality, supportive experience for students

Qualifications

  • Professional experience in retail or merchandising
  • Prior coaching or mentoring experience
  • Clear, structured approach to breaking down strategic and operational retail concepts
