About the role

Engagement Managers drive end-to-end onboarding and implementation projects for Clutch’s credit union customers, combining autonomous leadership with a consultative approach to diagnose needs and prescribe effective solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the full project management lifecycle for a portfolio of onboarding projects: develop project plans and work breakdown structures, run status reporting and communication cadences with executive sponsors, and proactively identify and mitigate implementation risk.
  • Hold cross-functional project teams accountable to milestones and quality standards through credibility and influence, building methodologies to raise the bar for the Implementation team.
  • Navigate ambiguous situations, build structure from scratch, and move forward without waiting for a fixed playbook.
  • Within 1-3-6 month milestones as outlined in the job description (ramp, manage engagements, establish relationships, drive onboarding, develop plans, produce status reports, identify risks, mentor teams, contribute to scalable practices).
  • Execute implementation projects with executive sponsorship, manage scope and change orders, develop domain/product expertise, and coach team members to raise performance.
  • Maintain strong, trust-based relationships with customer stakeholders and internal teams; deliver clarity and structure in complex situations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in engagement management, professional services, or implementation project management, ideally within enterprise SaaS or fintech
  • Consultative background with experience diagnosing underlying business problems to prescribe pragmatic recommendations
  • Strong product instincts and depth on the Clutch platform to guide customers with authority
  • Proven track record of owning a full implementation lifecycle and making tradeoff/sequencing decisions
  • Builder’s mentality with autonomy and limited formal support; ability to work independently while knowing when to seek help
  • Ability to leverage AI as a working tool to improve processes and execution
  • Ability to hold cross-functional partners accountable without formal authority
  • Executive-level stakeholder management with VP/C-level customers as an advisor
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise software implementation across waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Sound judgment on risk and scope
