About the role

Store Floor Lead at Sur La Table, Kirkland, WA, part-time on-site role supporting the GM/SM, serving as Manager on Duty to deliver a best-in-center customer experience and achieve sales and operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales floor and oversee daily store operations as Manager on Duty (MOD).
  • Provide in-the-moment coaching and feedback to elevate performance and team engagement. Communicate performance issues to the General Manager/Store Manager.
  • Support onboarding, training, and development of new associates.
  • Represent Sur La Table’s brand by creating memorable, educational customer experiences.
  • Stay current on products and training resources to maintain expertise.
  • Lead a customer-focused, Guest Obsessed culture and address customer concerns promptly.
  • Support achievement of store sales goals through customer engagement and team motivation.
  • Identify customer needs and offer relevant solutions to maximize selling opportunities.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals and contribute to store revenue (measured by KPIs such as individual sales, average transaction value, and conversion rates).
  • Direct employees to maintain appropriate merchandise stock levels and proper merchandising per visual standards.
  • Complete inventory transactions (receiving, MOS, RARs).
  • Adhere to wage and hour laws and record time worked per policy.
  • Communicate and enforce SLT policies and SOPs.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of employment.
  • 1 year of retail management experience, preferably in specialty or culinary retail.
  • Strong leadership to inspire, develop, and retain a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Passion for community engagement and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems preferred.
