About the role

Customer Engineer role focused on technical go-to-market, advisory, and long-term enterprise engagement. Hybrid in Hong Kong with location listed Singapore for available locations, operating as a quota-carrying technologist leveraging AI-augmented workflows to drive architectural design and business outcomes across the customer lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Validation: Partner with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, build bespoke architectures, and deliver product demonstrations and PoCs across Cloudflare’s portfolio (Security, Networking and Developer Platforms).
  • Trusted Advisory: Maintain deep relationships with key stakeholders from onboarding through renewal and expansion.
  • Strategic Alignment: Own long-term technical relationship across the customer lifecycle, aligning evolving business goals with product roadmap.
  • Commercial Accountability & Expansion: Carry a variable quota tied to new business and/or ongoing account growth; ensure platform adoption, revenue retention, and identify cross-sell/up-sell opportunities; lead QBRs for ROI demonstrations to C-level executives.
  • AI Orchestration & Workflow Automation: Act as an AI-Augmented engineer; use AI agents and internal platforms to automate routine tasks (RFP responses, sandbox provisioning, telemetry monitoring) to focus on strategic advisory.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a customer-facing technical role (Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineer).
  • Broad technical expertise across web security, networking (routing, DNS, DDoS mitigation), cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture.
  • Commercial mindset with experience in quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environments; understanding of SaaS metrics and enterprise sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management; ability to bridge technical details and C-suite strategy.
  • Language: English and Cantonese (Hong Kong) bilingual.
  • Cloudflare Developer Stack Experience: hands-on with Cloudflare developer platform and AI ecosystem (Workers AI and AI Gateway).
  • Applied AI Knowledge: Prompt engineering, LLM orchestration, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
  • Coding/Scripting: Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar for integrations and edge computing.
