About the role

Enterprise Solutions Architect with deep expertise in life science R&D and enterprise software systems to partner with Benchling's customers, guiding digital transformation, leading implementation projects, and establishing architecture standards.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with biotechnology organizations at the forefront of innovation to assess their IT landscape, understand strategic objectives, and architect solutions that enable mission-critical outcomes
  • Lead end-to-end implementation projects from discovery through successful go-live and adoption
  • Provide ongoing strategic guidance, best practice education, and product engagement recommendations to maximize customer value realization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements, identify opportunities, and translate business needs into technical solutions in partnership with internal engineering, product, and solutions architecture teams
  • Coordinate with Professional Services, Product, and Customer Success teams to orchestrate complex, global enterprise deployments
  • Support Sales and Marketing in technical deal strategy, and engage with Engineering, Product, and Solutions Architecture teams to resolve complex technical challenges
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of global enterprise processes, product capabilities, and best practice frameworks

Qualifications

  • 5-10+ years of combined experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry roles and scientific software implementation
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Information Management, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • Proven track record leading global implementation teams in enterprise solution design and deployment (Benchling experience strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to empathize with scientists and rapidly comprehend complex scientific concepts and workflows
  • Exceptional communication skills across verbal, written, and presentation formats, coupled with strong organizational and project management capabilities
  • Self-directed, adaptable professional who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Comfortable operating across functions, organizational levels, and geographies with diverse stakeholder groups
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites up to 30% based on project requirements
