About the role

Field Engineer role partnering with prospective and strategic enterprise customers in Life Sciences to demonstrate and validate Cursor capabilities, run proofs of concept, and drive adoption through technical discovery, demos, and collaborations with Sales, Product, and Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with AEs to own technical discovery, demos, POCs, and expansion with technical validation
  • Build trusted relationships across engineering, scientific computing, R&D, and commercial IT
  • Go deep in research-heavy and regulated environments: developer workflows, AI tooling, complex setups
  • Help customers connect Cursor to outcomes that matter: faster R&D cycles and a shorter path from lab to market
  • Deliver technical presentations, whiteboards, and workshops for scientific and commercial audiences
  • Act as the customer's technical advocate internally with Product and Engineering
  • Partner with post-sales to hand off cleanly and set up onboarding for success
  • Stay sharp on Cursor and the competitive landscape so you can go toe to toe in the room

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills and executive presence, comfortable coding alongside developers or presenting to CTOs and scientific leaders
  • Understanding of the SDLC and ability to connect technical detail to business and scientific impact
  • Hands-on technical fluency (not full-time engineer): workflows, AI tooling, complex environments
  • Deal-partner instinct: co-own with AEs and navigate complex stakeholder maps
  • Customer-obsessed with ability to translate technical detail into organizational impact
  • Experience in Field Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Pre-Sales, or Consulting
  • Excitement for Life Sciences and comfort learning regulated/research-heavy organizations quickly
  • Motivation to put AI in the hands of people accelerating benefits for humanity
