About the role

Solutions Architect role focused on shaping data and AI solutions using the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. Technical advisor to sales, advocate for customers with product/engineering, and leader in big data, analytics, data engineering and data science projects. Hybrid role based in Mumbai, India.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the sales team and provide technical leadership to help customers understand how Databricks can help solve their business problems.
  • Develop book of business with the sales team, define account strategies, and execute those strategies to help customers/prospects solve business problems with Databricks.
  • Consult on Big Data architectures, implement proof of concepts for strategic projects spanning data engineering, data science and machine learning, and SQL analysis workflows; validate integrations with cloud services, home grown tools, and other 3rd party applications.
  • Collaborate with fellow Solutions Architects to support each other and users.
  • Become an expert in, promote, and recruit contributors for Databricks open-source projects (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow) across the developer community.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in a data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or similar pre-sales/consulting role
  • 8+ years of experience with Big Data technologies including Apache Spark, AI, Data Science, Data Engineering, Hadoop, Cassandra, and others
  • Strong consulting / customer facing experience with external clients across various industries
  • Coding experience in Python, R, Java, Apache Spark or Scala
  • Experience building distributed data systems
  • Built solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Available to travel to customers in your region
  • Nice to have: Databricks Certification
