About the role

Machine Learning Engineer internship program at Jane Street London. You will be paired with mentors, work on real-world ML projects, access to a GPU cluster, and go through a structured interview process. Suitable for undergrads, postgrads, or PhD students with practical ML experience and strong programming skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work on real-world ML projects mentored by full-time employees
  • Collaborate with Software Engineering interns on shared and ML-specific activities
  • Gain exposure to ML applications in a trading context and experiment with ML on financial data
  • Participate in interview process similar to Software Engineering Interns, including on-site rounds focusing on ML engineering skills

Qualifications

  • An undergraduate, postgraduate or PhD student with practical experience training an ML model, working on an ML library, or optimising an ML workflow
  • A top-notch programmer with a love for technology
  • Intellectually curious, collaborative, and eager to learn
  • Humble and unafraid to ask questions and admit mistakes
  • Fluent in English
