About the role

Nooks is hiring a new graduate software engineer to build AI-powered enterprise software. The role involves shipping full-stack features, owning projects end-to-end, working with customers, and contributing to AI infrastructure and enterprise-scale workflows in a hybrid San Francisco setting.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and ship full-stack features using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python.
  • Own projects from initial idea through deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
  • Work directly with customers to understand problems and turn feedback into product improvements.
  • Build systems that power AI agents, real-time collaboration, and enterprise-scale workflows.
  • Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of our platform.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and contribute thoughtful code reviews.
  • Learn from experienced engineers while taking on meaningful ownership from day one.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and software design.
  • Experience building software through internships, research, open source, startups, or personal projects.
  • Love solving difficult technical problems and learning new technologies.
  • Willingness to work across the stack; experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, or Python is a plus but not required.
  • Thrive in fast-moving environments with ownership and product decisions.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication of technical ideas.
