About the role
ML Research Engineer to train embedding models for search over the web, exploring novel transformer-based architectures, dataset creation, evals, and beating internal state-of-the-art in large-scale AI for search.
Responsibilities
- Dream up novel transformer-based search architectures, creating datasets, creating evals, beating internal SoTA, and repeat.
- Train embedding models for perfect search over the web.
- Build systems to train and evaluate large-scale ML models for search.
- Develop an eval system that measures progress in search quality.
Qualifications
- Graduate-level ML experience (or exceptionally strong undergraduate)
- Ability to code up a transformer from scratch in PyTorch
- Experience creating large-scale datasets and deeply analyzing data
- Interest in solving problems related to high-quality knowledge retrieval and its global impact
