About the role

Hands-on, commercially focused role on EliseAI's legal team supporting drafting, negotiation, and close of high-volume contracts and deal desk operations for a rapidly scaling SaaS company.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including SaaS customer agreements, order forms, partner and reseller agreements, vendor and procurement contracts, NDAs, and data processing agreements
  • Helping to establish contracting and organizational processes that will allow us to move with greater efficiency as we scale
  • Serving as a point of contact for our Sales and Partnerships teams, gathering context for accurate and efficient drafting
  • Supporting deal desk operations, including managing contract intake, review, and approval workflows and helping deals move efficiently to signature
  • Helping to improve contract templates, playbooks, fallback positions, and negotiation guidelines to help the team scale
  • Speaking with customers and counterparties to resolve questions and keep negotiations moving
  • Taking on other ad hoc projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree (or foreign equivalent), with a strong record of academic achievement
  • Admitted to practice law in New York State with good standing, or willing and able to waive into New York
  • ~1-3 years of legal experience (at a law firm and/or in-house) involving commercial and transactional work
