About the role

Senior Platform Engineer at Langdock focusing on building and operating shared platform capabilities (APIs, runtimes, auth, queues, model access, integrations, and sandboxed compute) to power Langdock products. Owns services from design through production, collaborating with Systems Engineers and other teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

Responsibilities

  • Own a service from design through long-term operation, including defining its API and failure behavior, planning migrations, implementing and deploying it, making it observable, and responding when it fails in production.
  • Transform complex capabilities into stable, reusable building blocks with clear contracts (e.g., model access, agent execution, authorization, queues, integrations, document processing, sandboxed compute).
  • Work on platforms such as durable agent runtime, the Model Gateway, shared services with Protobuf/gRPC contracts, integration and tool platform, code execution as a shared service, and production confidence for shared systems.
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineers when a new underlying mechanism is required, while maintaining service boundary and lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Several years of experience (typically 3 to 6) building and operating backend systems under real load
  • Strong in TypeScript and Node.js; comfortable with Kubernetes, Terraform, networking, databases, and queues
  • Experience with Go is useful; willingness to work in it matters more
  • Strong platform design judgment; ability to define stable service boundaries and APIs with data integrity, tenant isolation, backward compatibility, partial failure, and safe rollout
  • Ability to identify invariants in underspecified systems, depth-driven problem solving, and understanding failure modes
  • Ownership mindset for deployment: observability, response to failures, and incident-driven improvements
  • Ability to use AI tools to multiply output while owning architecture and changes
  • Experience investigating unfamiliar components and implementing production-ready solutions
  • Independent contributor capable of designing, shipping, and operating solutions in production
