Hybrid in Lisbon, reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager for AI Agents Tooling & Platform, with collaboration across Product Management, Developer Relations, and platform teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach and grow the team of systems engineers behind Browser Run — 1:1s, career development, performance conversations, and hiring.
  • Own the Browser Run roadmap and delivery, and provide clear visibility into work plans and trade-offs.
  • Partner with Product Management to set direction and defend the roadmap for an incubation product.
  • Own Browser Run’s operational health — browser fleet capacity, session reliability, cold-start latency, concurrency limits, on-call rotations, alert quality and incident follow-through.
  • Maintain Puppeteer/Playwright compatibility and credible Chrome version upgrade paths.
  • Develop leaders within the team and delegate day-to-day delivery to them.
  • Resolve cross-team dependencies with Workers, Developer Platform, Security and Billing; drive quick, calm technical decisions.
  • Own commercial mechanics of the billed service, including usage metering, quotas, plan limits, abuse protection and pricing input.
  • Represent Browser Run externally through launch blogs, developer docs, conference talks, and customer conversations.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years managing engineering teams, with a solid hands-on engineering track record.
  • Experience owning a production service end-to-end, including on-call rotation, capacity planning and incident reviews.
  • Demonstrated experience growing engineers (promotions, team lead/first-line manager development).
  • Hands-on familiarity with browser automation — Chrome DevTools Protocol, Puppeteer or Playwright — or browser internals.
  • Strong technical grounding in distributed systems, web platform fundamentals (HTTP, JavaScript execution models, rendering) or cloud infrastructure.
