About the role

Principal Product Manager leading the vision, strategy, and execution for Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) within Elastic Security, focusing on identity-based threats across on-premises, cloud, and AI/non-human identities, and driving integration with SIEM/XDR workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a credible ITDR function within Elastic Security, evolving Entity Analytics and Entity Store foundation to an identity-defense outcome.
  • Manage the plan for non-human and AI agent identities in Elastic Security, modeling service accounts, workloads, secrets, and self-directed agents with lifecycle and behavior standards.
  • Collaborate with threat research and detection engineering to address identity-specific threats (credential access, privilege escalation, identity-based lateral movement, abuse of identity providers and tokens).
  • Drive the response and containment strategy (the 'R' in ITDR) by turning detections into action with identity-system integrations and automated responses, ensuring human oversight for important actions.
  • Work closely with enterprise customers, security operations teams, sales, and solution architects to gather requirements and priorities for identity attacks.
  • Partner with design to develop investigation and response experiences emphasizing identity in analyst workflows; integrate identity signals with endpoint, cloud, and network data in SIEM and XDR.
  • Gain deep market knowledge to shape unique strategy and engage with analysts.
  • Be the product expert and evangelize Elastic's identity capabilities through content (blogs, talks, community interactions).

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in product management or solution delivery for security products (SIEM, XDR, EDR, identity security, detection and response).
  • Solid knowledge of identity-based attack techniques and identity fabric (Active Directory, cloud identity providers, SSO, OAuth, privileged access) across on-prem and cloud.
  • Fluency in non-human identities (service accounts, workloads, secrets, AI agents) and understanding why human-identity rules don’t apply.
  • AI/ML fluency (behavioral analytics, anomaly detection, LLMs, agentic systems) and ability to work closely with data scientists and engineers.
  • Bias to action with ability to learn from experiments and leverage AI tools to accelerate decisions.
  • Experience leading across a matrixed, remote-first organization with autonomy and judgment of a principal product leader.
  • Excellent communication skills to distill complex concepts for technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.
  • Customer-obsessed with ability to translate industry trends into customer-focused product development.
