About the role

European Payroll Analyst to oversee Portuguese payroll operations and collaborate with external providers across multiple European markets.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Portuguese payroll operations.
  • Collaborate with external payroll providers for multi-country payroll across Europe (Spain, UK, Malta, Sweden, and other markets).

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years in operational payroll, including hands-on experience with Portuguese payroll mechanics, local statutory compliance, and managing multi-country third-party payroll providers across Europe.
  • High-Growth Experience: Prior experience in a fast-paced FinTech, technology, or multinational environment is highly desirable.
  • System Proficiency: Hands-on experience with modern HRIS platforms (e.g., HiBob, Workday) or local Portuguese payroll tools/bureau portals is desirable, but not essential.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and numerical skills, high attention to detail, and collaborative working style. Solid understanding of local labor legislation, social security rules, and tax regulations in Portugal.
  • Languages: Fluent in English and Portuguese.
