About the role
Senior Data Scientist / Analyst, Growth to own full-funnel GTM analytics across the business, guiding where to invest and how to optimize growth through measurement, experiments, and collaboration with marketing and product.
Responsibilities
- Own full-funnel analytics for your vertical, from paid acquisition through first trade to repeat engagement
- Partner with marketing on spend efficiency including CAC, ROAS, payback period, and channel mix, and determine where incremental dollars should go
- Size and prioritize growth opportunities within your vertical: which leagues, events, or market types deserve investment, and what the return is likely to look like
- Design and read experiments across creative, lifecycle, and onboarding, and determine what worked
- Build the cohort, funnel, and retention analyses showing how your vertical's users behave differently from the rest of the platform
- Be the analytical voice in your vertical's planning, bringing the numbers that set targets and holding the team accountable
- Work with analytics engineers to turn recurring analyses into durable models rather than one-off queries
- Write end-to-end documentation that’s clear and thorough enough for anyone on the team to pick up your analysis without friction
Qualifications
- 7+ years in growth, marketing, or product analytics, with a track record of owning a business area end-to-end
- Expert SQL. You can go from raw event tables to a defensible answer without help
- Deep fluency in full-funnel GTM metrics including CAC, ROAS, payback, conversion rate, retention, LTV, and the ability to judge when each is misleading
- Experience embedded with marketing and product teams as a partner in the work, not a downstream request queue
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to scope vague questions into real analyses with justified assumptions
- Strong communication to translate complex analyses for non-technical audiences and land recommendations
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment with changing business logic
- (Plus) Data science background: experimentation design, causal inference, or predictive modeling in Python or R
- (Plus) Genuine interest or expertise in verticals like sports, crypto, or politics
