About the role

Senior full-stack software engineer focused on AI-powered product experiences, primarily frontend with TypeScript and Vue.js, collaborating on AI-enabled features from discovery through delivery in a small, fast-moving team based in Sheffield.

Responsibilities

  • AI-powered feature delivery: Build and ship features that use AI to turn product usage data into actionable suggestions for customers.
  • Full-stack engineering: Own delivery across the frontend and backend with TypeScript, Vue.js, DOM-level work, component architecture, and in-browser data capture.
  • Product discovery: Validate problems, shape scope, test direction, join customer calls, prototype testing, and use real feedback to drive work.
  • Success metrics and iteration: Define success metrics for features and use usage data to guide iteration.
  • AI-enabled development: Use AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code as a core part of daily workflow, with careful review of AI-generated code.
  • AI product quality: Ship AI-backed features with attention to latency, hallucination, inconsistent output, and user trust.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work with product, design, and engineers in a small team, making pragmatic tradeoffs in ambiguous requirements.
  • Engineering standards: Improve team quality through code reviews, mentorship, and ensuring delivery momentum.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI agents (production or personal projects).
  • Full-stack engineering with a frontend lean, strong TypeScript, DOM experience, and backend reasoning.
  • 3+ years of experience building and scaling web applications.
  • Strong product judgment, including handling ambiguous problems and scoped decisions without a fully specified brief.
  • Experience defining success metrics and iterating based on usage data.
  • Experience engaging with customers or end users to validate problems and assess impact after launch.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design principles, and API development.
  • Clear communication and mentoring abilities.
