About the role

Regional enablement leader responsible for end-to-end field engineering enablement strategy for the AMER business unit, translating global programs into regionally actionable assets and driving field readiness across hundreds of field engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Own the regional FE enablement strategy for your AMER business unit, from onboarding to advanced technical specialization and competitive positioning
  • Execute and regionalize global FE programs by adapting content for BU sales motion, customer base, and competitive landscape
  • Support product launch readiness with regionally relevant talk tracks, demo environments, hands-on labs, and competitive positioning before GA
  • Build and ship enablement at scale using AI to generate first-draft technical deep dives, competitive talk tracks, labs, and demos, then curate for accuracy
  • Drive a builder-first FE culture emphasizing end-to-end ownership, showing-not-telling, and AI productivity
  • Own BU stakeholder relationships, aligning enablement priorities to BU strategy and reporting field readiness in reviews
  • Establish a two-way feedback loop with Global to improve programs and standardize regional wins
  • Work toward globally aligned goals and ensure regional strategy ladders up to global enablement standards
  • Champion SME communities and scale knowledge via peer-to-peer learning across the region
  • Create scalable, multi-format enablement assets (deep dives, AI role-plays, labs, workshops, self-paced paths)
  • Build AI-powered tools (instant-answers agents, AI role-plays, automated competitive briefs)
  • Define and track KPIs for field readiness (specialization completion, certification, workshop effectiveness, win rates)
  • Spend ~10–15% of time in customer-centric moments to keep programs sharp
  • Coordinate with Sales Enablement, Customer Enablement, and Partner Enablement to integrate FE programs into BU enablement

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, or technical enablement
  • Direct experience in data and AI platforms, distributed systems, or cloud data infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience with POCs, handling live objections, and defending technical positions
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of modern data and AI platforms and Databricks domains (Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, AI/ML, BI, or operational databases)
  • Builder mentality with a tendency to develop tools, demos, and automations; AI as a daily multiplier
  • Proven experience automating content creation and shipping enablement assets at scale
  • Experience executing enablement programs at regional scale and tailoring global programs to specific audiences
  • Strong stakeholder management with BU VPs and cross-functional peers
  • Experience building and leading technical communities (SME networks, centers of excellence)
  • Scaling mindset prioritizing leverage and automation for large regional teams
  • Exceptional communication skills translating complex concepts for broad technical audiences
  • Familiarity with data/AI ecosystem including Lakehouse, Delta Lake, vector DBs, and AI/ML serving patterns
  • Nice-to-have: prior enablement role in matrixed org, Databricks or competitive platform experience, hands-on AI app development (RAG, agents)
