About the role

Studio Technology Engineer at Beast Industries (MrBeast) in Greenville, NC. On-site, full-time role combining IT operations, production technology scoping, and engineering-level support for on-set networks, AV and livestream setups, and hardware fleets. Emphasizes proactive engineering, AI automation, and coordinating production tech across multiple shoots.

Responsibilities

  • Support productions on the ground. Design, deploy, and tear down networks for shoots at permanent studios and pop-up locations. Support AV and livestream rigs, on-site shoot tech, town halls and company events, and the loaner hardware fleet (laptops, phones, iPads, satellite internet) that keeps productions running.
  • Scope production technology projects. Work production intake process, translate concepts into technical requirements, timelines, and budgets, write lightweight scoping docs.
  • Coordinate the work, not just do it. Help decide coverage for shoots, maintain documentation, ensure clean handoffs and closeouts.
  • Carry engineering-level IT operations. Own projects across identity and access (Okta, Google Workspace), endpoint management and MDM (Mac/Windows), network infrastructure, system integrations; escalation point and contribute to purchasing and IT planning.
  • Use AI like a power tool. Build automations and agent workflows, contribute to AI-assisted helpdesk, prototype internal tools for production departments; automate repetitive tasks.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in hands-on IT, systems, or solutions engineering in a fast-moving environment with strong fundamentals across identity, endpoints, networking, and troubleshooting under pressure.
  • Real production or live-event experience supporting video production, broadcast, live streaming, staging, or live events.
  • Solid networking chops: ability to set up reliable temporary networks (Wi‑Fi, VLANs, firewalls, failover, DHCP/DNS/VPN) in challenging locations on deadlines.
  • Demonstrated agentic AI use: built real AI agents or automation platforms (workflows, integrations, internal tools); chat-only usage not enough.
  • Organizational skills: ability to intake requirements, scope work, document clearly, and communicate with non-technical creatives under stress.
  • Strong security foundation: built with data security, access control, and best practices by default.
  • Production-compatible flexibility: on-site in Greenville, NC; shoot-driven hours and occasional travel; adaptable to non-traditional hours.
