About the role

Senior backend engineer role based in Paris (hybrid) working in the central team of 4 senior engineers. Focus on building features end-to-end, owning the platform, and pushing the AI frontier in collaboration with Data Science and other teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build critical features: Design and ship features end-to-end that solve real customer problems and hold up gracefully as complexity grows.
  • Own the platform: Solve issues throughout our entire stack, build what you’d want to use in the product
  • Push our AI frontier: Partner with Data Science to build the systems that let AI agents retrieve the right data, act through our APIs, and troubleshoot incidents autonomously.
  • Collaborate broadly: Work shoulder-to-shoulder with Product, Frontend, and Storage, and jump into cross-functional task forces as priorities shift.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years building software, ideally in early-stage or high-growth environments with trade-offs between quality and velocity
  • Prior exposure to distributed systems or the observability industry
  • Builder's mindset: collaborative, transparent, and willing to work from blank page
  • Customer-obsessed: cares how the product is actually used and contributes ideas
  • Pragmatic problem solver: comfortable with ambiguous problems and simple, effective solutions
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Willingness to work across the whole product and codebase
  • Bonus: Experience in NodeJS and Rust
