Hybrid (Remote (VN; PH))Full-timePosted 2mo ago
About the role
Logistics Manager for a remote/Anywhere role focused on end-to-end international logistics, customs, and commercial collaboration to move parts globally for a hardware/manufacturing platform.
Responsibilities
- Own international freight across air, ocean, and courier — primarily from Asia to Israel, the US, and the EU.
- Quote, negotiate, and book shipments with global freight leaders alongside a growing supplier-side network.
- Manage freight cost recovery from buyers and dispute surcharges with forwarders.
- Own customs and trade compliance end-to-end — set strategy, build playbooks, guide the Logistics Admin.
- Be the in-house expert on HTS classification, exclusion claims, CBP/Form 28 responses, IOR/bill-to/ship-to logic, and customs holds.
- Maintain annual compliance setup (bonding, surety documentation, supplier KYC) across jurisdictions.
- Sit in commercial conversations with Sales on landed cost, Incoterms, and pricing structure to protect margin.
- Build and maintain freight-cost intelligence by lane and supplier.
- Ensure freight and logistics costs are reflected in internal systems (order book, margin view, customer invoices).
- Translate operational decisions into customer-facing communication during delays or issues.
- Coordinate daily with manufacturing partners on shipment readiness, packing, documentation, and pickup windows.
- Manage the day-to-day Logistics Coordinator function and escalate to Supply Chain Manager as needed.
- Act as the preferred partner for suppliers—fast, clear, fair.
- Push the platform as the single source of shipment status, documentation, and cost; identify recurring problems and build playbooks; where sensible, automate after manual validation.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on international logistics or freight-forwarding experience, ideally in contract manufacturing, hardware, or high-mix industrial setting.
- Proven experience negotiating freight rates with forwarders and couriers, with at least one example of a significant cost impact.
- Experience with HTS codes, commercial invoices, packing lists, IORs, bonds, CBP correspondence.
- Understanding of landed cost, Incoterms, margin, and customer experience in freight context.
- Ability to read PDF engineering drawings to assess shipping implications.
- Clear, direct, action-oriented communication; ability to write customer-facing escalation messages.
- Comfort with a fast-moving startup environment and high-stakes shipment situations.
- Fluency in English; Hebrew, Mandarin, Vietnamese, or German is a bonus.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with remote, async tools (Slack, Notion, Loom, and manufacturing platform).
