About the role

Lead analyses and a data science team to develop product features addressing patient experience pain points, run experiments, and influence product decisions. Player-coach role driving analytics across product and business metrics in a remote-first healthcare startup.

Responsibilities

  • Lead analyses to help develop product features addressing key consumer pain points, working with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers and Data Engineers
  • Lead a dedicated data science team tasked with analyzing business and product performance
  • Design and conduct experiments
  • Contribute to product planning
  • Guide analysts’ work and drive your own projects

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of related professional experience
  • Bachelor (or higher) degree with background in Data Science Math, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics or other quantitative fields
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics or data science, supporting multiple ends of a business with analytical recommendations (e.g., Sales, Clinical Operations, Finance, Customer Experience)
  • Solid people management experience, building and leading teams and developing talent
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders; strong data storytelling
  • Deep experience with statistical analysis and A/B testing
  • Deep understanding of product analytics metrics (retention, conversion, engagement, churn) and marketplace balance metrics, with experience translating them into actionable insights
  • Expert in Python and/or SQL, as well as familiarity with data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau)
