About the role

Founding GTM role at TraceRoot.AI, responsible for creating and executing go-to-market strategy to engage developers, grow open-source adoption, and build a scalable pipeline from first touch to closed deals.

Responsibilities

  • Make developers care about the open source: own the path from GitHub star to install to traces flowing in. Launches on Hacker News, Product Hunt, Reddit, and X that land, and the follow-through that turns a spike into retained users.
  • Turn the product into content, everywhere developers are: install TraceRoot, troubleshoot, write the story. Docs-as-marketing, comparison pages, SEO and GEO, dev-influencer collaborations, hackathons, and a Discord where people get answers.
  • Run the calls: take first calls and technical demos with teams building agents, qualify and follow up until a decision is made.
  • Own pipeline and the CRM: source and qualify accounts, keep CRM clean and actionable, manage follow-ups, deliver warm, well-briefed deals.
  • Own the numbers: maintain a funnel in PostHog and a trusted dashboard to measure what works.

Qualifications

  • You've marketed a developer product: grown an open-source project, devtool, or AI-infra product with measurable launches/docs/pages.
  • You can run a technical sales call: comfortable demoing to engineers and asking qualifying questions.
  • Technically credible, not necessarily an engineer: able to install TraceRoot with Claude Code, read a stack trace, explain functionality without coding.
  • Distribution-obsessed: built launches/content/outbound that converted.
  • Strong sense of ownership and bias for action: ownership of outcomes, rapid decision-making, thrive in ambiguity.
