About the role

Senior Software Engineer role focused on Tavus's Conversational Video Interface (CVI), a real-time multimodal conversational product. Hands-on engineer driving features end-to-end, collaborating with Research, and optimizing live conversational systems.

Responsibilities

  • Ship features end-to-end. Turn loosely defined product priorities into specs, architecture, and shipped features.
  • Partner with Research to bring state-of-the-art real-time models into CVI. Sometimes contribute to research.
  • Fix flaky processes or slow paths without needing a ticket or permission.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in Python, with deep knowledge of concurrent programs (asyncio, multiprocessing, event loops, GIL, shared memory).
  • Real-time systems experience (video, audio, or model inference) with millisecond latency budgets.
  • Senior track record: set direction, own decisions, deliver results.
  • Strong ability to explain complex concepts clearly and teach others.
