About the role

Frontend Lead Engineer responsible for owning the front end across Omnea, including design system, front-end architecture, and collaboration with product/design across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design system, components, tokens, documentation, and adoption.
  • Own the Front-End Architecture, including deployment strategy, performance, build tooling, and conventions.
  • Work across every product team and leverage front-end work across the organization.
  • Serve as connective tissue between design intent and shipped product, collaborating with Product Managers and Designers.
  • Contribute to a modern stack (TypeScript, React, Next.js, automated visual regression testing, Postgres, AWS serverless infra, Pulumi, GitHub Actions).
  • Participate in AI-native development practices and rapid, iterative delivery (CD multiple times per day).
  • Partner with designers to turn intent into reusable primitives and drive adoption across teams.
  • Mentor and build the frontend team, improving overall engineering performance and outcomes.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand problems and ensure valuable product outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Deep experience with React and complex production applications.
  • Ownership of front-end infrastructure (rendering strategies, build tooling, performance) and large-scale architectures.
  • Experience building or owning a design system and driving adoption across teams.
  • Strong eye for design and ability to collaborate closely with designers.
  • Deep knowledge of CSS, accessibility, responsive design, and motion.
  • Fluent in TypeScript and capable beyond the browser when needed.
  • Motivated by impact and capable of taking ownership of outcomes.
  • Experience building high-performing teams or contributing to team growth.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to define the role and solve problems in a nascent stage.
