Founding Engineer
About the role
Founding engineer role at Prescience, a seed-stage healthcare AI company building a vertically integrated system for risk pricing, care delivery, and disease anticipation. High-autonomy full-stack position focused on enabling AI models to operate, insure, and deliver healthcare; ownership of end-to-end projects from problem selection to production.
Responsibilities
- Full-stack development across the stack using TypeScript (React, backend frameworks, relational DB)
- Ship work with strong UX and product sense
- Build data, harnesses, tools, and infra to support AI models at scale
- Develop and deploy integration-heavy systems that connect numerous external APIs
- Automate workflows and tooling (scripting) to reduce repetitive work
- Collaborate with ML research to grow ML capabilities in production
Qualifications
- Experience level: Any (new grads ok)
- Strong full-stack engineering skills with TypeScript across the stack (React, backend frameworks, relational DB)
- Product sense with shipped work demonstrating UI/UX quality
- Experience with web automation tools (Playwright, Puppeteer, Selenium, or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience with LLMs in production (structured extraction, classification, retrieval, prompting, fine-tuning)
- Experience with integration of many external APIs and designing clean internal APIs
- Scripting and automation mindset
