About the role

Lead the Developer Experience (DevEx) team at Gong, owning the internal developer platform, tooling, and workflows to boost engineering productivity across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the evolution of Gong's internal developer platform, enabling self-service capabilities across local development, CI/CD, testing, deployment, and observability.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of platform and software engineers while driving the adoption of AI-powered development tools that accelerate engineering productivity at scale.
  • Own the reliability and scalability of CI/CD systems, improve software delivery workflows, and partner with Infrastructure, Security, AI Enablement, and R&D leadership to continuously raise engineering effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of engineering management experience leading highly technical teams in Developer Experience, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure
  • Strong software engineering background with experience building cloud-native, distributed systems (Java and/or Python preferred)
  • Hands-on experience evaluating and integrating AI-powered developer tools into engineering workflows
  • Deep expertise in modern software delivery, CI/CD ecosystems, developer platforms, automation, observability, and GitOps practices
  • Ability to build strong partnerships across engineering organizations and influence technical direction through collaboration and a customer-first approach
