About the role

Immigration Attorney responsible for managing a high-volume portfolio of immigration matters for families and small businesses, with additional collaboration with Product and Engineering to shape Lawhive’s AI-powered legal platform.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of immigration matters from start to finish
  • Advise clients on legal merits, potential outcomes, and next steps.
  • Prepare & file a wide range of different US visa applications
  • Define limited scope product offerings for small business and family Immigration needs.
  • Assist in collaborating with co-counsel on matters that require local or in-person representation as needed.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, partnering with our Product and Engineering teams to review and provide feedback on product features for Lawhive’s AI platform, affecting immigration matters
  • Advise on edge cases, risk scenarios, and regulatory considerations
  • Participate in user testing, feature scoping, and documentation reviews

Qualifications

  • Excellent organisational skills to manage a high volume caseload
  • Successful track record working with clients that need immigration help
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively
  • A strong interest in AI and how it can be used to improve the legal system
  • Empathy and patience when dealing with questions
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in a start-up or scale-up environment considered a bonus
