Founding Sales Development Representative (SDR)
About the role
Founding SDR role at Reflex, an early-stage YC-backed company building an open-source AI-powered platform for enterprise apps. Fully in-person, SF-based, with direct collaboration with founders and the founding Account Executive. Compensation includes base salary, OTE, and equity.
Responsibilities
- Run daily prospecting through cold calls, email, and LinkedIn.
- Research target accounts and identify business, operations, IT, and data leaders with relevant needs.
- Follow up promptly with inbound prospects, event contacts, and referrals.
- Qualify interest against clear criteria and book meetings with our sales team.
- Own scheduling, reminders, and rescheduling so booked meetings actually happen.
- Keep contact history, outcomes, and next steps accurate in our CRM.
- Track activity and conversion, share what prospects are saying, and test improvements with the team.
- Use AI and sales tools to accelerate research and execution while keeping outreach accurate and personal.
Qualifications
- Around two years of SDR, BDR, or comparable outbound prospecting experience.
- A track record of consistent execution and qualified meeting generation.
- Comfort picking up the phone and starting conversations with senior business leaders.
- Clear, concise writing and the curiosity to ask good questions.
- Strong organization and follow-through across multiple prospects and conversations.
- Experience using a CRM and working within a defined sales process.
- Coachability, persistence, and a willingness to learn from results.
- Someone who enjoys prospecting and wants to become excellent at sales development.
- Experience selling B2B software is helpful.
- Interest in AI and ability to learn how customers use software to solve business problems.
