About the role

Senior Accountant to support financial close, reporting, and compliance for a SaaS business, owning month-end/year-end close, applying GAAP (ASC 606), preparing financial statements, and coordinating with auditors.

Responsibilities

  • Own month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Apply GAAP standards, including ASC 606 revenue recognition, to our SaaS business model
  • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
  • Support internal controls and document accounting policies
  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audit and interim reviews
  • Assist with tax compliance, including support for federal and state filings
  • Identify opportunities to improve close efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of accounting experience; public accounting background preferred
  • CPA or active CPA candidate preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP, particularly revenue recognition for software companies
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Self-starter who can operate with limited direction in a fast-moving environment
