About the role

Senior leadership role responsible for company-wide pricing, packaging, monetization, and customer research to drive product-led pricing strategies and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a clear, company-wide pricing and packaging strategy across subscription plans, product bundles, add-ons, usage-based capabilities, services, and new product launches.
  • Evaluate how pricing architecture should evolve as the platform expands into new products, customer segments, and monetization models.
  • Identify appropriate value metrics and pricing models (subscription, usage-based, account-based, feature-based, hybrid).
  • Assess opportunities to improve plan differentiation, upgrade paths, bundling, and add-on attachment.
  • Build business cases for pricing changes, analyzing impact on acquisition, trial-to-paid conversion, ARPU, expansion, retention, gross margin, and CLV.
  • Develop principles and guardrails for discounts, promotions, trials, migrations, and price increases.
  • Partner with Finance and Data to model revenue and risks, and create a monetization roadmap.
  • Create a prioritized monetization roadmap rather than isolated pricing decisions.
  • Lead customer research to inform pricing decisions and build a centralized insights repository.
  • Establish cross-functional operating cadence for pricing and monetization decisions.

Qualifications

  • 14+ years of experience across SaaS pricing, monetization, product strategy, customer insights, growth strategy, or related roles.
  • Significant direct experience leading pricing and packaging decisions for a B2B SaaS, platform, or technology company.
  • Ability to translate customer research and data into changes in product, pricing, packaging, or go-to-market strategy.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models (subscription economics, usage-based pricing, expansion revenue, retention, gross margin, CLV).
  • Experience with multi-product or multi-tier offerings and pricing impact on existing/new customers.
  • Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills with scenario planning.
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods (interviews, segmentation, surveys, willingness-to-pay, conjoint analysis, behavioral data).
  • Strong commercial judgment and ability to balance customer value, growth, simplicity, feasibility, and long-term strategy.
  • Excellent executive communication skills and ability to influence multiple functions (Product, Finance, Data, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, CS).
  • Comfort in fast-moving environments and a hands-on leader approach.
