About the role

Senior Solutions Architect shaping and leading regional technical strategy for Cloudflare's Developer Platform across APJC, with hands-on architecture work, executive collaboration, and regional technical leadership. Hybrid location in India with travel, reporting to Director of Developer GTM, APJC.

Responsibilities

  • Shape the technical strategy for Developer Platform customers and partners across the region.
  • Design & translate business, application, security, and operational requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable architectures on Cloudflare.
  • Collaborate with engineering executives and senior stakeholders to advise on application modernization, distributed systems, AI architecture, and platform strategy.
  • Facilitate architecture discovery sessions, technical workshops, proofs of concept, design reviews, and production-readiness discussions.
  • Create reference architectures, architectural standards, and governance patterns for customers and the APJC field organization.
  • Stay hands-on by building, reviewing, and troubleshooting representative applications and integrations.
  • Champion the region as a Developer Platform technical leader through presentations, guidance, and internal enablement.
  • Mentor and grow fellow solutions architects and technical colleagues.
  • Bridge teams by building feedback loops between customers, field teams, and product leaders, translating regional needs into product and go-to-market actions.

Qualifications

  • Meaningful Experience: strong background in solutions architecture, software engineering, technical consulting, or related customer-facing technical role; 10+ years often, but emphasis on scope and impact.
  • Language Skills: professional fluency in English and a major language spoken in India, with ability to lead discussions in both languages.
  • Strategic Collaboration: track record of owning complex technical strategies involving developers, infrastructure teams, security stakeholders, and executives.
  • Technical Depth: deep knowledge of distributed application architecture (compute, storage, networking, security, reliability, observability).
  • Hands-On Capability: software development experience including building or reviewing production-quality apps and proofs of concept (preferably JavaScript/TypeScript).
  • Ecosystem Knowledge: understanding of modern web technologies, serverless/cloud-native architectures, modern software-delivery practices, and at least one major public cloud.
  • Influential Leadership: ability to influence without direct authority, mentor colleagues, and turn individual solutions into organizational capabilities.
  • Communication: excellent written, presentation, and facilitation skills for developer, architectural, and executive audiences.
  • Travel: ability to travel up to 30%, primarily within APJC including India.
