Senior Customer Engineer role at Cloudflare focusing on technical go-to-market, trusted advisory, and AI-augmented workflows to drive adoption, value realization, and expansion across enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Validation: Lead discovery, build architectures, and deliver demos/PoCs across Cloudflare portfolio (Security, Networking, Developer Platforms).
  • Customer Adoption & Value Realization: Oversee onboarding and implementation; manage discovery, demos, onboarding, technical health, risk, and expansion strategy; monitor health scores and telemetry.
  • Commercial Accountability & Expansion: Carry a variable quota tied to new business and/or account growth; lead QBRs with C-suite to translate capabilities into ROI; drive platform adoption and upsell opportunities.
  • Trusted Advisory: Maintain deep ongoing relationship with key stakeholders from onboarding through renewal and expansion.
  • AI Orchestration & Workflow Automation: Leverage AI agents to automate routine tasks (RFP responses, sandbox provisioning, telemetry monitoring) to focus on strategic advisory.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a customer-facing technical role (Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineer).
  • Broad technical expertise across web security, networking (routing, DNS, DDoS), cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture.
  • Commercial Mindset with track record in quota-carrying or revenue-aligned roles; understanding of SaaS metrics and enterprise sales cycles.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to bridge technical details with C-suite strategy.
