About the role

Specialist Solutions Architect (SSA) for Security, guiding customers in building big data solutions on Databricks, supporting security reviews and cloud security design, reporting to the Specialist Field Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership to guide strategic customers to successful implementations on big data projects, including architectural and security design, development and deployment best practices, and automation
  • Architect security solutions and reference architectures that meet customers’ security requirements
  • Provide technical expertise in cloud infrastructure and security relating to the Databricks Intelligence Platform
  • Assist Solution Architects with advanced technical sale activities including custom proof of concept content, security reviews, and custom architectures
  • Improve community adoption through tutorials, training, hackathons, conference presentations
  • Contribute to the Databricks Community and act as a technical SME.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Pre-sales or post-sales with external clients across various industries
  • Experience designing, building, and managing modern data governance for a modern data platform
  • 3+ years of experience designing cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with cloud security and networking best practices
  • Designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud networks (VPC/VNet design, routing, segmentation, private connectivity)
  • Architect production cloud networks for data and AI workloads with segmentation, data exfiltration prevention, performance/reliability
  • Identity & Access Management (RBAC, least privilege, IdP integration)
  • Experience designing and implementing a security lakehouse/security data platform on Databricks for SIEM, security analytics, threat hunting, and detections
  • Hands-on cloud infrastructure automation (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation, etc)
  • Deep knowledge of development tools and best practices for CI/CD, unit/integration testing, automation and orchestration
  • Native proficiency in Korean; business-level English preferred
  • Databricks Certification (nice to have)
