About the role
Director to own new business at Paraform, building and leading the Demand Sales function end-to-end, with a focus on high-velocity outbound, upmarket expansion, and eventual second-line leadership.
Responsibilities
- Own new business end to end. Pipeline generation, deal execution, and attainment across the AE team, with a high-velocity motion into seed through Series B founders. You carry the number and the forecast.
- Design the org, not just the team. Decide segmentation, verticalization, headcount plan, and coverage as we upmarket.
- Build the second line. Promote from within and hire externally to have at least one manager reporting within 2-3 quarters.
- Install the social-selling motion. Build VC-referral loop, dinner program, and conference presence as a repeatable system.
- Take us upmarket. Define account movement from SMB/seed into larger accounts and revenue sharing for strategic accounts.
- Partner across the business. Collaborate with marketing, engagement management, and product on go-to-market for multi-product offerings.
Qualifications
- 7–10 years in sales with four-plus years leading, with visible progression (Manager → Senior Manager → Director or similar).
- Managed managers or readiness to
- Network-led outbound ownership with investors and events to build pipeline
- Built a playbook from scratch and scaled it beyond the original leader
- Strong analytical instincts and ability to design hypothesis-driven interventions
- Genuine curiosity about Paraform's marketplace model
- Something non-linear in background (founders, athletes, academics, ex-finance, etc.)
