About the role

Senior individual contributor role focused on research, development, and maintenance of large-scale advertising policies for Reddit’s global ads platform in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. Reports to Head of Ads Policy. Collaborates across Legal, Sales, Operations, Product, Trust & Safety Policy, and other departments to enable responsible business opportunities and scale advertising policies globally.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development, drafting, and maintenance of strategic advertising policies across Reddit's ads products acting as subject matter expert in the EMEA region
  • Draft risk assessments and strategic policy recommendations for senior cross-functional leaders and executive stakeholders, representing the Ads Policy perspective with clarity and confidence
  • Act as a role model of Reddit’s Company Values, assisting teammates and providing guidance as a senior peer leader
  • Serve as the decision-maker on highly complex, grey-area ads policy escalations, delivering definitive, risk-balanced rulings on high-impact issues

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in compliance, standards, or policy development and implementation, with significant experience in tech, digital platforms, advertising, Trust and Safety, or a related policy function
  • Proven track record of taking complete, reliable ownership of complex policy projects, demonstrating a strong ability to personally research, draft, implement, and maintain policies autonomously in fast-paced environments
  • Deep subject matter expertise in advertising or content policy on an international scale, with a proven track record of working with global teams and advising stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex policy/regulatory matters into simple business terms
  • Exceptional ability to synthesize complex, ambiguous problems into structured decision documents that clearly lay out risks, trade-offs, and proposed solutions.
