About the role
Lead and own the growth of Forge's freight forwarding business, building trade lanes, forming partner relationships, and turning prototypes into production software in collaboration with founders and engineers.
Responsibilities
- Continuously setup and optimize trade lanes
- Develop long term relationships with freight partners, including ocean carriers, warehouses, international agents, etc.
- Manage the buy-side of the freight business
- Partner with our CTO to turn your prototypes into durable production software
- Report directly to the CEO
- Wear many hats. Early-stage means we all do a bit of everything
Qualifications
- Experience with carrier negotiations (bonus)
- Asia-US lane experience (bonus)
- Speak another language fluently (bonus)
- Licensed customs broker (LCB) (bonus)
