About the role

Product Manager responsible for turning utility and building energy data into measurable sustainability outcomes, including benchmarking, audit/RCx workflows, green energy understanding, and reporting for asset managers and sustainability teams.

Responsibilities

  • Deep sustainability / ESG literacy in the built environment — explain and apply Scope 1, 2, and 3 concepts; fluent in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager benchmarking; conversant in Building Performance Standards (BPS), energy audits, and Retrocommissioning (RCx) reports; understands green energy / renewable procurement concepts at a product level; familiar with GRESB, SASB and related frameworks.
  • Product management craft in B2B / proptech or utilitytech — discovery, prioritization, clear requirements/acceptance criteria, release readiness, and partnering with engineering; comfortable owning ambiguous 0→1 and 1→n problems.
  • Multifamily or commercial real estate utility domain awareness — utility billing, commodities, vacancy/common area vs. resident, or energy data workflows; open to candidates from sustainability consulting with strong product experience.

Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of GHG Protocol-style Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 concepts and how calculations show up in real portfolios
  • Direct multifamily or commercial real estate operator / owner experience
  • GRESB or SASB reporting and document creation experience
