About the role

Reporter to cover EMEA high yield bond and syndicated loan market for Debtwire in London. Break news on leveraged finance, write in-depth stories on investor sentiment, market trends, and financing terms, collaborating with Debtwire, Mergermarket and Infralogic teams.

Responsibilities

  • Drive to break news and deliver actionable intelligence on leveraged finance.
  • An investigative mindset and good writing/editing skills.
  • An understanding of fixed income markets, a strong grasp of and an interest in the broader financial and legal markets.
  • Outstanding networking and contact building skills.
  • Excellent time management and communication ability.
  • A self-starter attitude with a cooperative approach.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in financial journalism or internships.
  • Strong writing skills and investigative mindset.
  • Basic ability to read balance sheets.
