About the role

Debtwire is seeking a private credit reporter to expand North American coverage, focusing on breaking news in direct lending, private credit funds, and related financing activity. The role is based in New York, on-site, with travel opportunities and conference moderation.

Responsibilities

  • Aspirations to break news and deliver actionable intelligence on direct lending by private credit firms
  • An investigative mindset and good writing skills
  • An understanding of fixed income markets, a strong grasp of and an interest in the broader financial and legal markets
  • Outstanding networking and contact building skills
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • A self-starter attitude with a cooperative approach

Qualifications

  • Experience covering financial markets and/or debt finance is a requirement
