About the role

Senior Product Manager focusing on Elastic Cloud backend and orchestration for the US public sector, including FedRAMP Moderate/High and IL5 environments, supporting government agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Define the vision and roadmap for Elastic's public sector offering, from FedRAMP Moderate and High through IL5 and future environments.
  • Provide support for customers, with a focus on FedRAMP environment.
  • Translate compliance requirements into product requirements, and collaborate with Engineering to prioritize them.
  • Work with Security, Compliance, and Legal to keep authorizations current as the product changes.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing on go-to-market, messaging, competitive analysis and enablement, including federal partners and resellers.
  • Gather requirements from agency customers, and combine feedback with market data and usage information to develop product insights.
  • Track regulatory change and turn it into a plan the team can act on.
  • Operate autonomously to drive decisions and results in a distributed team via asynchronous, direct, and transparent communication.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of leveraging AI to accelerate work while owning final outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience with deep technical products.
  • Prior experience building and operating DoD IL4+ cloud service environments, or eligibility to work in DoD IL4+ cloud service environments; direct experience with US federal compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, CJIS, or StateRAMP.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies and developer-focused products.
  • Experience building for government agencies, system integrators, or federal resellers.
  • Proven ability to use AI to accelerate work while owning outcomes.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and seamlessly transition between projects based on business priorities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and drive decisions in a distributed team via asynchronous, direct, and transparent communication.
  • Ego-free attitude, empathy, transparency, and good sense of humor.
