About the role

Delivery Solution Architect (DSA) drives technical leadership and strategic guidance for complex customer workloads post‑implementation, collaborating with sales, field engineering, and cross‑functional teams to accelerate adoption and value realization of Databricks platform.

Responsibilities

  • Define technical execution strategies across strategic accounts and multi‑workstream deployments to drive impact.
  • Be a trusted technical advisor to customer technical leads and architects, leading architecture discussions and guiding technical decisions.
  • Design scalable, secure, governed Databricks architectures balancing performance, cost, reliability, and long‑term needs.
  • Build and validate practical solutions, prototypes, and reusable assets to accelerate customer outcomes.
  • Forecast platform maturity and scaling needs, establish best practices for security, governance, and operations.
  • Influence architecture to remove delivery blockers and translate technical execution into business outcomes to promote platform adoption.
  • Coordinate with Databricks, customers, and deployment teams for resource alignment, risk management, and delivery acceleration.
  • Mentor colleagues and contribute reusable technical guidance, frameworks, and enablement across the organization.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in solutions architecture, solution engineering, technical consulting, professional services, data engineering, or related roles.
  • Experience influencing technical strategy and architecture for complex customer use cases and multi‑stream deployments.
  • High coding ability in Python, SQL, or similar languages with capability to build, debug, and validate technical solutions.
  • Deep understanding of distributed data systems, data engineering, analytics, data warehousing, AI/ML, and modern cloud architectures.
  • Experience designing secure, governed, scalable data solutions for production environments.
  • Ability to solve ambiguous technical problems, evaluate tradeoffs, and validate solutions through structured analysis or experiments.
  • Proven track record leading architectural discussions with technical leads, architects, and senior customer stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of platform operations excellence including security, governance, performance, reliability, and cost optimization.
  • Demonstrated leadership in technical leadership to drive customer adoption, usage, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional leadership skills (ability to coordinate teams without formal authority).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Complete professional fluency in Japanese.
