About the role

Embedded enterprise-focused technical role within a local Enterprise Sales Pod in Amsterdam, partnering with an Enterprise Account Executive to architect and deploy production-scale Telnyx solutions for Benelux customers (Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg) across voice, messaging, AI, and wireless.

Responsibilities

  • Embed with enterprise customers to understand their communications workflows, AI use cases, and integration challenges firsthand
  • Build and deploy custom implementations: AI Voice Assistants, Telnyx APIs (Voice, Messaging, Fax, Wireless), WebRTC
  • Run open-weight LLMs in customer environments or deploy self-hosted stacks behind your own serving engine
  • Deploy and operate LiteLLM as the model gateway in customer environments
  • Instrument and govern LLM usage through the gateway — cost tracking and budgets, caching, logging and observability, and guardrails
  • Wire production observability for everything you ship — metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting
  • Design model routing strategies for real-time voice workloads with latency/cost/quality balance
  • Make build-vs-buy decisions between self-hosted models and hosted APIs, ensuring portability of customer code
  • Adapt models to customer domains: Dutch/French language use cases and EU regulatory environments
  • Lead POCs, pilots, and production launches from whiteboard to go-live
  • Own customer outcomes — stay engaged until the solution is live and stable
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to shape roadmap based on field insights (Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg)
  • Create technical documentation, runbooks, and maintainable handoff packages
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues with customer teams

Qualifications

  • CS degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years building and shipping production software
  • Proficiency in Python, Node.js/TypeScript, Go (TypeScript preferred for Telnyx Edge Compute)
  • Understanding of production model issues: rate limits, quotas, timeouts, retries, streaming, token accounting, concurrency failure modes
  • Experience deploying containerized services on Kubernetes with secrets/configs/upgrades
  • Observability experience: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Graylog/ELK or equivalent
  • High-concurrency experience with Kafka or similar, handling backpressure and scaling
  • Experience building APIs from scratch (OpenAPI, REST/GraphQL, auth, rate limiting, versioning, idempotency)
  • Event-driven/cloud-native mindset
  • Exposure to SIP, WebRTC, or real-time voice/messaging systems
  • Self-sufficient, customer-facing engineering mindset
  • Customer-facing engineering experience including technical discovery and executive-facing communication in English and Dutch
  • Based in Amsterdam or willing to relocate; hybrid role with travel in NL/BE/LU
  • Legally authorized to work in the Netherlands or eligible for sponsorship
