About the role

Part of a local Enterprise Sales Pod in Singapore alongside an Enterprise Account Executive. Embeds with enterprise customers to architect and ship production systems on Telnyx's global network (voice, messaging, AI, wireless) and own the technical discovery, architecture, POC, and production go-live to deliver production outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Embed with enterprise customers to understand their communications workflows, AI use cases, and integration challenges firsthand
  • Build and deploy custom implementations: AI Voice Assistants, Telnyx APIs (Voice, Messaging, Fax, Wireless), WebRTC
  • Run open-weight LLMs in customer environments or deploy self-hosted stacks behind your own serving engine
  • Deploy and operate LiteLLM as the model gateway in customer environments
  • Instrument and govern LLM usage through the gateway — cost tracking and budgets, caching, logging and observability, and guardrails
  • Wire production observability for everything you ship — metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting
  • Design model routing strategies for real-time voice workloads with latency/cost/quality considerations
  • Make build-vs-buy cases between self-hosted models and hosted APIs; keep customer code portable
  • Adapt models to customer domains and regulatory environments (English, Mandarin, Malay, Tamil; PDPA, data localization, MAS)
  • Lead POCs, pilots, and production launches from whiteboard to go-live
  • Own customer outcomes and stay engaged until live and stable
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to shape the roadmap from field insights in Singapore/SEA
  • Create clear technical documentation, runbooks, and maintainable solutions for handoff
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues with customer teams

Qualifications

  • CS degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years building and shipping production software
  • Proficiency in Python, Node.js/TypeScript, Go
  • Understanding of production model issues: rate limits, timeouts, retries, streaming, cost attribution, concurrency failure modes
  • Experience deploying containerized services on Kubernetes
  • Observability experience: Prometheus+Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Graylog/ELK
  • High-concurrency experience with Kafka or similar
  • Built APIs from scratch (OpenAPI, REST/GraphQL, auth, rate limiting, versioning, idempotency)
  • Event-driven/cloud-native mindset
  • Exposure to SIP/WebRTC/real-time voice/messaging
  • Self-sufficient, able to work with minimal handholding
  • Customer-facing engineering experience and ability to run discovery with customers and present to executives
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Based in Singapore or willing to relocate; hybrid role with travel in SEA
  • Authorized to work in Singapore or eligible for sponsorship
