About the role
Founding Recruiter at Pocket, a YC-backed hardware+software company, responsible for building and leading full-cycle recruiting across multiple functions as the company scales hiring to meet growth.
Responsibilities
- Full-cycle recruiting for every open role: intake, sourcing, screening, offer, close
- Outbound sourcing for hard roles (e.g., ML researchers, Controller)
- Turning vague founder requests into clear roles, scorecards, and interview plans
- Offers and closing, including salary and equity conversations with founders
- Hiring across the US, Europe, and India: full-time, contractors, and interns
- Managing ATS, funnel numbers, and employer branding to candidates
Qualifications
- 4–6+ years of full-cycle recruiting, with in-house experience at a fast-growing startup
- Closed both technical and business roles with measurable results
- Consistent weekly sourcing activity
- Ability to run 10+ searches in parallel
- Ability to assess candidate quality and push back on poorly defined roles
- Ability to explain startup equity clearly and honestly
